Summary

The Hagerstown and Frederick Railway was the culmination of several electric lines serving Frederick, Thurmont, the Middletown Valley, Hagerstown, Williamsport and other towns in Western Maryland. It lasted into the 1950's making it one of the longest surviving trolley lines in the US. The last passenger run was in 1954. Electrification ended in 1955 and the last lines were sold in 1961.
